Role of Purchasing- -IT purchase : Purchasing fundamental items, including H/W (i.e. IDC and servers) and network equipment,
various applications, system S/W and Internet connections that deliver the aforementioned services to clients - -Service solution and content contracting : Leading contracts of various content and data base related to
NAVER’s services; leading contracts of system design and development - -Brand goods purchase : Leading contracts related to NAVER/LINE’s marketing goods;
leading the design and creation of character goods and managing entry, distribution, and inventory - -Construction purchase : Signing off contracts related to design, construction, supervision/ maintenance/
management of buildings, including NAVER Headquarters and the IDC - -Employee service purchase : Signing off contracts related to providing goods/services needed to create,
maintain and manage the working environment and various benefit package services to employees - -Purchase plan and operation : Managing the purchase contract system;
managing the planning/improvement/operation process; managing internal and external risk - -Mutual growth support : Planning and operating various support programs and related policies for
the mutual growth of NAVER and its partner companies

the IT, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Human Resources Departments.
A well-performing junior-level purchaser could be promoted to expert and manager levels.

We select suppliers through a reasonable and fair process that involves active cooperation with
related departments and an understanding of suppliers and operation services in order to prevent
and/or minimize foreseeable risk. Possessing knowledge of the Fair Trade Act, Labor Law, and
all other related regulations and laws is important for this role.
Additionally, foreign language competency is highly desirable, as your job will require
a high volume of communication with foreign entities. We strongly encourage our staff to regularly share

(1) Services
For a stable operation of services, LS reviews and consults possible legal risks with regard to the Copyright Act,
the Fair Transaction Act, and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network involved in
the process of planning, releasing, operating and modifying various services including but not limited to
NAVER Café, NAVER Blog, KnowledgeiN, NAVER Music, NAVER Video, and NAVER Pay.
(2) Regulation Agencies
As the largest Internet service company in South Korea, NAVER is under the supervision of
various regulatory agencies, including the Fair Trade Commission, the Financial Supervisory Service, and
the Korea Communications Commission. LS responds to specific legal cases and/or plans for
foreseeable legal cases, defending the position and interest of the company.
(3) Intellectual Property
For a stable operation of services and management of assets, LS acquires and manages trademarks and patents
to protect NAVER’s intellectual property both domestically and abroad, which may involve filing for
adjudication and/or law suits.
(4) Company Operations
As NAVER is a listed company, LS provides legal guidance in order to observe the procedures required by
applicable laws regarding company’s operations, divisions, and business transfers.
You may gain experience in legal risk management related to the internet services industry
(service related legal reviews, drafting contracts, responding to law suits, working with regulatory agencies).
Due to the nature of legal affairs services, candidates must be meticulous, logical, and responsible.
Moreover,
in the face of the quickly evolving internet services market, a willingness to challenge norms and
search for new ways of doing things is important.
Candidates must be open-minded and communicative to
colleagues. Possession of law and/or patent attorney credentials is a plus. Competency of a foreign
language
(English/Japanese/Chinese/Others) is a plus.

- -Business management : Making business plans, managing budgets (budgetary control and analysis),
reporting administrative accounting and management conditions for service cost calculation - -Accounting : Managing accounting policies for NAVER and other related subsidiary companies;
calculating separate and consolidated financial statements - -Taxes : Reporting national and local taxes and managing policies on transfer prices that
result from overseas transactions - -Funds : Managing funds (surplus fund and optimal cash level) by forecasting fund flows
- -Investment management : Constructing an equity possession structure consistent with the purpose of
business operations, implementing structural changes (branch establishment, dissolution and merger), and managing investors - -Billing : Planning and creating policies on the infrastructure of paid service billing,

IP devises and implements a comprehensive strategy for the technical and managerial protection and
management of company, service, and user's data.
You can have a chance to become an information protection specialist through creating and
implementing policies and systems for IP.
As part of IP, you will help strengthen privacy protection and security by creating guidelines and policies,
as well as identify new security risks and loopholes. You will also help acquire information protection certificates
by evaluating and guaranteeing the activity of user's data through third certification agencies.
Another important role of IP is to raise awareness of information protection through effective campaigns within
the company. This is to protect critical company assets by preventing and/or minimizing risk that
may result from lack of IP. Protecting the user's data is another important function of IP.
IP achieves this by systematically managing foreseeable risk and ensuring safety through technical and
managerial protection measures, assuming the legal responsibility of user's data and privacy.
IP secures a high-level of transparency when dealing with users' user's data, and cooperates with
major government agencies and businesses in order to improve national policies related to IP,
and to provide Compliance standards consistent with business practices.
IP analyzes and prevents risk that may occur in the business process.
IP devises information protection solutions
in accordance with the organization's demand, in order to protect the company’s information asset and
the user's data of users. You can have a chance to become an information protection specialist who
creates, and implements information protection policies and systems.
You will have an opportunity to develop a career as an information protection specialist, and may eventually
assume the role of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) or Chief Privacy Officer (CPO).

PR delivers regular press releases, devises corporate PR strategy, and communicates regularly with

PR raises awareness of the company and its services via effective communication with the press and the public.
PR distributes news and releases information relevant to company operations by communicating with the media,
which includes broadcast television and radio. PR also reports on IT related trends internally to
company executives and staff,
as well as externally to reporters and the media.
PR effectively manages and responds to problems that arise unexpectedly. An example would be a situation
in which incorrect information
regarding the company is conveyed to the Press.
PR is the face of the company. A lot of time is spent conducting press releases and communicating with the
public. Thus, exercising prudence in revealing information and representing the company is critical.
PR works intimately with service users, the public, and the press.
PR communicates with external stakeholders and various departments within the company.
In this process, you can hone your professional communication skills. Also, you may improve your skill to judge
and respond to unexpected situations. On the job, you can cultivate a deep understanding of domestic and
foreign Internet-based IT business trends.
To be a part of PR is to be the face and voice of NAVER. As one misjudgment could lead to grave consequences
